Seaformatics MPG

The Mooring Power Generator (MPG) packages the SEAlily along with batteries, data logging, and telemetry capability in an in-line mooring frame. The ability to charge batteries enables long-term, real-time, and wide-area monitoring of multiple ocean parameters at any point within the water column.

The Power Harvesting Bottom Mount (PHBM) combines an omni-directional bottom mount with the SEAlily for seabed and upward looking measurements. Includes batteries, data logging, and telemetry capability to enable long-term, real-time, and wide-area monitoring of multiple ocean parameters.

Seaformatics PHRM

The Power Harvesting River Mount (PHRM) combines the SEAlily with a river mountable frame to harvest energy from currents in rivers and at the inlets and outlets of lakes and ponds. Used in place of or in addition to solar panels.
  • Harvests power from low speed water currents (<0.1m/s) to recharge its battery pack
  • Provides more power for devices that have high sampling rates and require high current draw, such as cameras and ADCPs
  • Provides power in river environments that are shrouded by trees
  • Provides power during dark winter months
  • Eliminates the need for on-site sheds
  • Deters theft and vandalism by being fully submerged system
